TERMS OF SERVICE

1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Garena. These Terms of Service outline the terms and conditions under which Vietnam Esports and Entertainment Joint Stock Company and its affiliates and subsidiaries (referred to individually and collectively as "Garena," "we," "our," or "us") provide the following:
(a) Computer and mobile games (“Games”);
(b) Game software for client devices and Garena Platform software for computers and mobile devices (“Software”);
(c) This website, including the Garena Store (“Website”); and
(d) Any applications, websites, games, or services related to these Terms of Service, regardless of how you access or use them, including via mobile devices.

(Collectively referred to as the "Services").

The Services also include any services provided through Garena Platform software, any services available via our Games or Website, and all related information, linked web pages, features, data, text, images, graphics, music, sound, video, messages, tags, content, software, and application services, including but not limited to mobile applications (collectively, the "Content"). Any updates, upgrades, or new features added to enhance the Services are also subject to these Terms of Service. Not all Services or Content are available in all markets.

Please carefully read these Terms of Service before using the Services or creating a Garena account (“Account”) to understand your legal rights and obligations with respect to Garena and its Services. The term "User" refers to any individual who registers an Account with us or otherwise accesses or uses the Services (referred to individually and collectively as "User," "you," or "your").

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

BY USING THE SERVICES OR CREATING AN ACCOUNT, YOU IRREVOCABLY ACCEPT THESE TERMS OF SERVICE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, PLEASE DO NOT USE OUR SERVICES.

If you are under 18 years old or below the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must obtain parental or legal guardian consent before creating an Account, and they must agree to these Terms of Service. If you are unsure whether you have reached the age of majority or do not understand this section, do not create an Account until you have consulted a parent or legal guardian.

If you are a parent or legal guardian of a minor who wishes to create an Account, you must accept these Terms of Service on their behalf and will be responsible for all Account activities, including purchases and transactions made by the minor, whether or not you supervise them.

Garena reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time with or without prior notice to Users, in compliance with applicable laws. We will periodically update you on any revisions, including posting the modified Terms of Service here. We encourage you to check this page regularly for any updates. Continued access or use of the Services will constitute irrevocable acceptance of such modifications to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Garena reserves the right to change, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. Some Services or features may be launched in beta versions, which may not function correctly or as expected, and we shall not be held liable in such cases. Garena also reserves the right to impose limits on certain features or restrict access to portions or all of the Services without prior notice or liability.

Garena has the sole discretion to deny access to the Services or prevent the creation of an Account for any reason.

3. DATA SECURITY & PRIVACY

Garena highly values the security of your information. To better protect your rights, we have provided a Privacy Policy explaining our data security measures. Please refer to the Garena Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, disclose, process, and transfer your personal data and Content.

By accessing or using the Services, or by agreeing to these Terms of Service, you consent to Garena collecting, using, disclosing, processing, and transferring your personal data and Content as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. LICENSE & RESTRICTIONS ON USE

Garena grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install the Software and access/use the Services solely for personal and non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms of Service. This license does not permit:

  • Commercial use of the Services or any part thereof;
  • Creating derivative works based on the Games, Software, or Content;
  • Copying, distributing, republishing, or modifying any part of the Services or Content without prior authorization.

All rights not expressly granted under these Terms of Service are reserved by Garena.

You acknowledge and agree that all intellectual property rights related to the Services, including but not limited to game assets, code, characters, environments, animations, audio, and graphics, belong to Garena or its licensors.

By using the Services, you agree to comply with intellectual property laws and refrain from copying, distributing, modifying, or reproducing any portion of the Services or Content.

5. USER RESPONSIBILITIES & RESTRICTIONS

Users agree not to:

  • Upload, post, or distribute illegal, harmful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, or offensive content;
  • Exploit the Services to harm minors in any way;
  • Violate patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights;
  • Impersonate any individual or entity;
  • Manipulate or forge headers to disguise the origin of any Content;
  • Modify, decompile, reverse engineer, or tamper with the Services or Software;
  • Use the Services for fraudulent or illegal activities, including money laundering or gambling;
  • Introduce viruses, trojans, or malicious code to disrupt the Services;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Garena’s networks, accounts, or data;
  • Sell, trade, or transfer virtual items or game accounts to third parties;
  • Use bots, cheats, or exploits to gain unfair advantages in the Games.

If a User violates these Terms, Garena reserves the right to suspend or terminate the User’s Account, delete Content, and report illegal activities to law enforcement authorities.

6. ACCOUNT & PAYMENT TERMS

  • Some features require account registration with a unique user ID and password.
  • Users are responsible for securing their account credentials and reporting unauthorized access immediately.
  • Garena does not accept liability for any loss due to compromised accounts.

7. LIABILITY LIMITATIONS

  • The Services are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind regarding performance, reliability, or uninterrupted access.
  • Garena shall not be liable for damages arising from service interruptions, data loss, security breaches, or system failures.
  • In no event shall Garena’s liability exceed 2,000,000 VND (Two Million VND).

8. FINAL PROVISIONS

  • These Terms of Service shall be governed by the laws of Vietnam.
  • Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration at the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC).
  • If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, the remainder shall remain enforceable.
